Our country is full of them, but yet we do not even notice them at times. They are called bureaucracies. Systems of organization and control based on three principles: hierarchical authority, job specialization, and formalized rules. Sure there are the ones we know and think as being bureaucracies such as the government and the education system, but many people do not realize the organizations they belong to and the activities they do for fun are still bureaucracies.
