I think marijuana should be legalized in the United States. I have researched magazines as well as the internet, and I have disxovered that the orginazation that is most against the legalization of marijuana is the federal government. It should be legalized because, there are many people arrested because the police found marijuana rather it be a joint or three ounces. Think how much money it costs to get them there and keep them in jail. For example John Doe goes to jail for possesion of marijuana for 180 days at a cost of 45-60 dollars a day that is $8,100-$10,800 for that time period. It is a major waste of money. It does not matter how much it is because any amount is not worth the cost to law abiding citizens who have to pay. Th


As you can see I have dislayed many postive outcomes if you legalize marijuana. Legalize marijuana for the right reasons the let us have our rights. Marijuana will be smoked and possesed regardless but will the federal government should control it. The government should make the right choice the American people have choose to legalize it and so should the government.

The government should legalize marijuana and tax it at as high of a rate as it can. If it was legalized street sellers would be out of business.
