I believe that the term "mad", meaning many or a lot, should be admitted into the Standard American English for many reasons. One reason being, that the youth of the nation use this word quite frequently. Whether it is on the radio, on television, or in normal conversations, the word "mad" has a new meaning for the youth of America. You must also understand that the youth of America know the difference between the slang version and dictionary version of "mad". Another reason that "mad" should become part of our everyday speaking with this new definition is that the older generations are beginning to understand the use of the word and become oriented with those patterns of speech.
