While I was reading this book I learned that Galileo was an innovator who sought to advance science, but he went about it in an unorthodox way. The book is about the problems Galileo had with the Catholic Church during the Renaissance. Galileo was a very good scientist but had a nasty way of antagonizing his fellow scientists. In the book you get to read how he would invite his colleagues to discuss a theory, but then he would intentionally humiliate them in public. According to De. The reader gets to read about the many adventures of Galileo such as the birth of his children, his teaching of Prince Cosimo and the building of his telescopes in 1608 and 1609. After a brief history of his life you get into the meat of the book, the crime of Galileo.
This book is for everyone willing to learn about one of the pioneers of science and the troubles Galileo had in trying to get his discovery out to the public.
