Philosophy itself is the art of wondering, to wonder through what time, space, and what is love these amongst countless other things are questions that we ask. Unlike anything else in life one can not be taught this. In science one can learn the periodic table, in math one can learn the quadratic equation but no-one can truly teach you philosophy. Philosophy is a skill that one picks up along the way. As a topic it can be tricky dealing with the questions that we ask in everyday life and dealing with larger concepts.
To take on the journey into the art of philosophy you must be willing to step off the beaten path to question your own thoughts. Philosophy wasn't meant for someone who is looking for the simplest answer. A person must be able to entertain and idea without truly loosing oneself. We as philosophers must leave ourselves completely open to new ideas and dreams that others present.

A philosophical treatment of the problem must deal with such thoughts of faith. As humans we think that we are free, that the choices we and others make decide our fate. So can we be at the same time free, and determined? If so what hand do we have in our own fate, how much of life is really under our control and how much will take place simply because that is the will of g-d.
Any questions on what we are to say about action and responsibility are an attempt to express these thoughts and feelings. But in philosophy we must be able to turn to others and into our self to answer our questions. These forms are familiar once we have questioned the existence of such things as free will through the idea or question of determinism.
There are so many questions that one could ask. This is the purpose of philosophy to learn, to ask questions of ourselves as well of others. Philosophers are the leaders as we wonder through theses questions about life. We must resist the easy answers and seek the courage to ask what is right
