Censorship on Internet Pornography
The idea of censorship is nothing new to American people; it has been controversial for a long time. The issue is so delicate because censorship by definition infringes on peoples First Amendment rights, (freedom of speech, and freedom of press). Yet there are still issues for and against censorship or pornography on the internet. There is the argument of child safety, and how easy it is for children to access pornography on the web. Or the other side of the argument, if you don't want your children stumbling on this information, put filters on your computer, and supervise their time on the net. However, as quickly as the internet and the World Wide Web are developing, it is becoming an even greater challenge to prevent children from being exposed to such material. Pornography is defined in Webster's Dictionary as pictures, film, or writing which deliberately arouse sexual excitement. One thing might sexually excite one person but not another. So by this definition, one can understand why there is a lot of room for discrepancy. Until there is a universal definition of what is meant by pornography, there will continue to be heav
