Nationalism vs Internationalissm
To what extent should nations cooperate?"It is through cooperation, rather than conflict, that your greatest successes will be derived." -- Ralph Charell. This quote is tied to the question of to what extent nations should cooperate with one another? Whether a nation that is nationalistic or that which is internationalist better meets the needs of the people, allows more self-determination, is better equipped to defend, better treats minorities, better solves conflicts with other nations, has more social justice and which has a better quality and standard of living. Nations who are internationalist tend to be much more cooperative and more willing to share and trade with other nations. They also are concerned with establishing harmony and peace throughout the world and have policies that promote loyalty to mankind, not just the people. Since multilateral nations tend to seek resolutions using diplomacy this often makes them futile and it encourages extremism. Yet it may also avoid conflicts therefore building partnerships of understanding. A goal of internationalists is to stabilize and neutralize extremist factor that may compromise sovereignty of nations.
