Of all the rounded characters in the Lord of the Flies, which includes the civilized Ralph, the savage Jack, the sadistic Roger, and the whiny, intellectual Piggy, Simon proves to be the most rounded character as he acts like a Christ-figure in the rapidly deteriorating island society.
