Abortion: Still a controversial issue

From the past few decades, Abortion has been one of the most debatable issues of controversy in the United States and other developed countries. The word Abortion by definition means the termination of the pregnancy and the development of the fetus before it is capable of independent life. It is also called "the knowing destruction of the life of an unborn child."

In this controversial issue, there are two major sides: "Pro choicer" and "Pro-lifer", who advocates for and against abortion. Therefore, In this context, Pro choicer or abortionists advocate that the women have right to do with their body and the government shouldn't interfere in it while Pro lifer or anti abortionists feel that the child are born at conception and should not be aborted which constitutes a murder of an innocent human being.

In the United States, about 1.7 million pregnancies end in abortion each year due to cases like economic condition, freedom, congenital defect case and the criminal case such as teen pregnancy. Pro choicer or abortionists advocate that the women have right to abort if they are in the state of fina


In the case of severe deformed case, abortionists believe that any baby born with severe deformed body parts many suffer from depression and live unhappy life. According to Roleff, any baby born with congenital damage has greater possibility to be unhealthy and more likely to live life full of suffering or other case might die after birth. Therefore, they justify that the baby should be terminated before birth. But, in contrast, anti abortionist believes that such abortion can lead mother's physical and mental health to severe condition. They believe that mother have higher risk of mental problem like depression and physical problem like breast cancer and other diseases.

Various kinds of approaches that come from both sides seem to have some flaw reason. View that talk about the abortion due to the financial problem seems to be quite unrealistic because it doesn't guarantee that the child would live life in poverty.
