The Joy Luck Club by Amy Tan, was an illuminating and beautiful story ofthese Chinese women and each ones' fight to overcome her own internal conflicts. The story brings to life the characters of this book and each ones' struggle to find the right path for herself and her family. Some of the major motifs seen throughout this book are sacrifice and control over one's destiny.
