A detailed Summary of College Application
There was a time in my life when I thought that I could not make it. I thought I would not make anything out of myself. I had lost who I was, my identity, and my motivation. Now I know my way in life, and what I want to do in my future. I know I want to become a doctor, a radiologist to be exact. I know I have the intelligence, determination and strength to take me there.
During my freshman year I had a lot of problems with my family and myself. I was lost, and had trouble finding my way. Through the darkness that was cast upon me, a light shone brightly in the distance. This light is a woman who showed me to believe in myself and not to let anything hold me down. This woman is my best friend, and though in college we will unfortunately part separate ways for a short time, I will always keep in touch and will never forget the lessons she has taught me in my life. I have lifted my grades from near failing to straight A's. I have shown my true potential as a student and as a person. Now I am co-president of the Spartan Youth Service Team. I lead others in volunteer activities and help those in need whenever possible. I have changed as a person and will always remain the way I am now. I am responsible and attuned to my goals. With trust in myself I have overcome this tragic time in my life. I want to become a doctor because I want to help people in need and save the lives of others. I enjoy helping others and the feeling it gives me is tremendous. I know that during college I will still continue to participate in volunteer activities because I find it soulfully pleasing.
