Love is defined as when you seek and foster the goodness of others in the context of their concrete situations. That statement can be interpreted in many different ways. Self-love is when you love yourself, not vainly, but just caring about yourself and you well being. Friendship love is when you and another person love each other in a platonic way. There was romantic love between Forest and Jenny also. Forest had always loved Jenny more than a friend. He always wanted to be more than just friends with her.
