A Man for All Seasons: The Integrity of One

Thomas More, a man with great integrity has proven himself to be a strong willed man who does not crack when pressured. His strength of integrity will be compared to other people around him who betray themselves and collapse under pressure. This will prove the difference between a person with strong integrity and a person with little to no integrity. The play A Man for All Seasons by Robert Bolt presents a contrast between the malleable self and the self that can not be manipulated.

People with strong integrity can stand by their beliefs and do not sway to pressure. When Rich and Thomas are talking in the More's home, More gives a silver cup to Rich saying, "It was sent to me as little while ago by some woman, now she's put a lawsuit in the Court of Requests. It's a bribe Richard." This shows that Thomas will not change his mind from bribes, showing strong integrity and that he is no
