As I sit at the beach and watch the waves crash down on to the rocks, a gulls lands on the shore where the waves meet the sand. The cool, blue sea lolls back and forth at a cool, slow pace. The hot sand has a fine tint of gold. I pick some up and let it sift through my hands. A gray and white gull lands in front of me. I toss some sand at it and it flies out of sight.

As my eyes drift back to the sea, a fish jumps and lands with a small splas
