It has a daily segment called Health Watch. It provides the watchers with recent events in nutrition from around the world. Magazines showcase the ideal healthy person on their covers. Men's Health a very popular magazine offers monthly advice to men who are looking to get in peak physical and mental condition. Insurance companies send out information. They offer better rates to people who are in better health condition. Annual fairs are held around the United States to help educate its citizens on keeping their bodies in shape with diet and exercise. New trends in exercise are constantly surfacing. New fads in diet are continuously emerging. With all of this information about it is hard for a person in the United States not to be health conscious.

Consumers trying to determine what food is organic and what food is genetically engineered will be able to look at the cover of the product package now. Recently the United States Department of Agriculture has set up national standards and labeling system for organic foods. There are now 3 categories: 100 percent organic is labeled "100% organic", at least 95 percent organic is labeled "organic" and at least 70 percent organic is labeled "made with organic ingredients. Anything less than 70 percent will not be able to label the product organic. The USDA regulations are going to create consumer confidence. It will also help the consumer determine exactly what he is buying. It cuts the risk of a consumer trying to eat an all-organic meal and ending up eating foods that have genetically modified organisms. It will also help consumer's figure out where their food is coming from. It will clarify exactly what is organic and what is not. Although organic milk has to be fortified with vitamin D which comes from an inorganic source. Because of this organic milk will only be labeled organic not 100% organic.
