Harrasment

The essay "Unfair Game" by Susan Jacoby presents first hand examples of sexual harassment. Susan Jacoby and a woman friend were talking in a hotel restaurant. The two of them were interrupted by a male caller. The man persistently flirted; eventually Susan snapped at the man and roughly asked him to leave. His response was anything but complimentary. She then cites two more interactions with men. The second interaction is her ideal scenario. A man asks her if she will have a drink with him. Jacoby declines and the man excuses himself for disturbing her. She enjoys this simple courtesy that has all but disappeared since the 1960's sexual revolution.
