Women were not always treated the same way that they are treated today. A couple of decades ago life was completely different for women. They were not allowed to do many of the basic things that women are doing now like voting, driving cars, working etc. Women were basically not considered real people to the "mans world" at the time, it was not common for them to basically do anything but to just stay home to do housework. A women's life a couple decades ago was just staying home cooking, cleaning and looking after the house, they would just stay and do simple housework. But if you compare a women's role from a couple of decades ago to the present, it has changed drastically giving women a whole new image in life. The legal status of women has progressed greatly throughout time, allowing women to legally express themselves better than they would have in the past. This general statement can be proved through human rights, equality rights and through employment rights. The legal status of women has become the same as men, but throughout time women were not always seen as equal. This can be argued through the human rights system, equality rights and th
