Many people choose this career to motivate youth who do not like waking up early and have no desire to go to school. Teaching provides an environment for an educator to stimulate student's minds by being creative and developing a fun learning environment. Kindergarten, elementary, middle and secondary school teachers' salary ranges from $37,610.00 to $42,080.00 in the year 2000. Beginning teachers' with a bachelor's degree in the school year of 1999-2000 earned an average of $27,989.00. However, teachers may increase their salary by coaching sports and working with students in many differnt activities. A good recommendation to get a higher salary is obtaining a master's degree.
