The Smell of Garlic takes away the Smell of Onions.
A detailed Summary of The Smell of Garlic takes away the Smell of Onions.
Christmas is coming. John is preparing Christmas meal. Chicken is already in the oven and potatoes are bubbling in the cooking pot. Cucumbers are cut, tomatoes are cut, and as always the unpleasant work is left in the last place - to cut onions for salad and garlic for dressing. John thoughtfully scrutinizes onions and then garlic. He took onion in his hands and easily peeled it, quickly took a knife and chalked it up. The smell of onion quickly spread in the kitchen. Tasty but the smell is disgusting, thought John. "What is this disgusting smell?", he could hear his wife calling from the living room. John smiled, because he knew that the worst is only coming - the smell of garlic. Garlic. The smell of garlic takes away the smell of onions.
In the life of humans everything happens just like in nature. The difference is that the processes in nature people perceive as self-evident, but when it comes to our lives we take it as something extraordinary. Expression about smell of garlic and onion may be translated as better-known expression that you shouldn't worry about problems you have at the moment because probably there will come bigger problems and you would forget those, what you have now.

Thirdly we can also compare it to life of human being. At the age when a child starts to see life, child - a little girl - teaches an iron and burns her
Second example could be that in one side of the world is earthquake and about its damage the whole world is in desperation, then after a week in other side of the world some terrorists attack a building. The building goes down. Now people will now talk only about terror act not earthquake. Terror in the building will shade the previous tragedy because it will be fresher and will seem stronger. And now people will say - earthquake - so what - only couple of people died and some houses were crashed. But now in the terror act - it is people evil, it is not because of nature. When the building was going down many cars were crashed and very many people lost their lives. There are hundreds of families who lost their sons, daughters, children or parents. Seems that nothing can be more tragic than that. But then Christmas is there. All people decorate their Christmas tree. The president of the country performs complimentary speech and almost everybody has forgotten that not far ago they all were mourning about tragic event. All except relatives and friends of lost people. But as time passes by, all these memories will become pale and after five Christmas meals, after five president complimentary speeches and five fireworks the life will begin to seem beautiful again and exactly in that moment in some part of world some plane will fall down, some ferry will sink or two trains will crash one in other. For someone it will be the smell of garlic that will fade the smell of onion, the small problems what he had in everyday life.
John's wife comes into the kitchen and says: "Can't you do without this disgusting smell?" John smiles and answers: " Of course I can manage without this disgusting smell - we can manage without onions and garlic - but then the meal will not be tasty". John was a go
