Tonight, on my way home from work, I stopped at your station to fill my gas tank and to get my car washed. When the tank was full, the computer asked if I wanted to add a carwash onto the cost of the gasoline; I agreed, assuming everything was fine. The computer made no indication that the carwash was broken, and even printed a code number for me to enter. Upon receiving the receipt, I drove to the carwash. The red light said wait, so I waited. Nothing happened. I pulled forward. Nothing happened. I reversed and tried again, assuming I was not triggering the sensor. Needless to say, it was not until I pulled my car all the way forward to the machine that accepts the codes that I was finally notified that the carwash wasn't working (and that sign was a tiny, fade sign written merely in ball-point pen!).

I accepted this and told her to simply give me a refund, but then I explained, "but you could put signs on the pumps." Her response this time was beyond curt: "We'd have to put them up every morning and take them down every day and that's a pain in the ass."
