A detailed Summary of Hero


Throughout the history, human beings have faced many diffuculties and they will continue to have diffuculties which life creates for them. How many people do you think have been able to cope or get rid of these obstacles of life. If you think this you will see that it is really a hard work to encounter the diffuculties so at this people need heros to save them sometimes .Heros are the people, that dont'like ordinary people with their inoidinary feelings, exaggrated talents and wiht their other powerfull chracteristics.In this essay I will make a discussion about the subject who are heros, what characteristics they have and my thesis will be "As human beings we will always need a hero to save us".

So who are these special or what makes them special ? Firstly , as we read in the books "Odyssey" and "Gılgamesh" , a hero should be smart in order to be successfull. Odysseus uses his intelligence and being cuninng to escape and outwit from the Cyclops who is the son of Poseidon. To illustrate, when he meets with Cyclops , Odysseus says that "I am Nobody " by saying this he disguises his identity and while Cyclops mpourns when he is being killed as "Nobody kills me"" so nobody understands that he is being killed. After stating some specialites of heros we can discuss why do people need heros and I will discuss todays hero and ancient time heros.Human beings are not so powerful and the need or felling to shelter in someone comes from the people's origin.Poeple always look for a stronger person to be protected also Freud states that people need protection and this is the father instinct of humankind.This shelter can be religion or human being in this case.In this case it is a human being.

Fiinally, heros have been always part of this world, they will be a part of this world.

When we compare our modern hero Ataturk and ancient heros Gılgamesh and Odysseus we see some simlarities and some differences. First of all, all of them are clever brave. They have strong personality and determination.Despite this facts I believe that Odysseus or Gılgmaesh can2t be modern time hero. In Atatturk's case Ataturk is not fighting for himself or for fame as in Odysseus and Gılgamesh's case,contrary he is fighting for his country and independence of his country.

They are not ordinary people and they are the ones who helpless people an count on. So they will merge as the life is going on creating problems to people, they will be our savers. Don't forget "People always need heros to save them ".
