Santanacus

A recent trend of people has been to take up playing an instrument such as guitars, bass guitars, drums, flutes, trombones, clarinets, and trumpets. These are all great instruments, but the god of the guitar, Santanacus, and his story truly top all. The great gods of Olympia granted him this gift of being a god after he proved he truly invented the guitar and plays the best of all mortals and immortals. He joins the great Gods of Olympia in festivities and plays the great guitar of his. Santanacus, was made into a god, and given special tools for wood working, but also the power to morph different people or objects. After many years of being the best, a young, arrogant man named Peter, a known guitar maker and player throughout the land, challenged Santanacus to a competition that consisted of three parts: the one who could please the gods of Olympia, the one whose music had the ability to make the great gorgons fall asleep, and the one who could make the sweetest sounding guitar.

The story goes on as Santanacus and Peter both agreed to play in front of all the great gods of Olympia. Every god from Zeus to Aphrodite watched the spectacular show. Santanacus and Peter each played for four hours, playing their sweetest of riffs.

Traveling days and nights over sea, Peter, Santanacus, and a small number of sailors reached the island of the great gorgons. As they traveled inland on foot, many spooky sounds came from the dark depths of this swampy island. All of a sudden everyone was sucked through the mossy layer indoubtly to meet their deaths. Santanacus and Peter clutched their guitars, looking up to see ten gnarly gorgons. The sailors screamed as three of the closest gorgons swiped them up and bit their bodies in half, only to throw the other half, covered in blood, to the ground. Santanacus and Peter, magically, knew the only way to escape harm's way was to play much like they had done in front of the gods to put the awful gorgons to sleep, for sweet sounding music could do the trick. First, Peter started to play, and then Santanacus joined in playing a light sounding lullaby. After ten minutes of playing the softest of tunes, Peter opened his eyes only to see every last gorgon sound asleep on the slimy ground. The sailors and guitar players quickly retreated back to the boat. As the fantastic guitar players looked back to the distant island, they recognized a mutual respect for each other.

Finally, the tie breaker occurred between Santanacus and Peter to see whom the gods think can construct the sweetest sounding guitar. Only there was a catch. The gods of Olympia refused to let Santanacus use his magic tools but gave each maker the same ordinary tools. Each guitar builder also received a chunk of wood from the same tree. Surely, Peter had a chance of winning
