Shakespeare took a lot of superstitious beliefs from his time and put them into this play. He probably uses that method to get the crowd into the play a little more. Shakespeare probably was a superstitious person himself after reading his plays you can really tell that he was.
In The Tragedy of Julius Caesar superstition was used constantly. In the first appearance of Julius Caesar, Shakespeare used superstition. Julius Caesar wasn't a superstitious person compared to other characters in the story. Julius Caesar was the type that thought that superstition was for those other people with problems like the common people. If people back then weren't superstitious then they were said to have bad luck. I
