The book the Great Gatsby is a good book for students to read. I think that the book shows students that even if they have a dream it might not come true. This book also shows that even if you have almost achieved your goal it could be ruined by some one else. "his dream must have seemed so close that he could hardly fail to grasp it" (p. 187).

This book shows how even if we believe in fairy tales. The real world is much different, every one wants to believe that the good guy wins. In the Great Gatsby tom is the bad guy. Gatsby tries hard to achieve his dream, but in the end tom crushes him. Tom tells Wilson that gatsby was the one who killed his wife. "What did you say to Wilson that afternoon?" (p. 187). "I told him the truth" ( p.187).
