The play Julius Caesar is about the rise and fall of Caesar and the aftermath. Julius was rising in power and some of the senate did not appreciate this so they plotted against him. And despite the warnings had he accepted them he might have lived. Even thou Caesar was killed he is avenged. Marc Antony takes Cassius and the rest of the senate to war. Cassius was the head person against Caesar. I feel that if he wasn't such a coward instead of killing Caesar he could of rose up.

Brutus and maximus are very alike. They both were noble men and they are loyal to their country. They also have the same weakness they suffer from internal conflicts. From them being so honorable and noble it lead to their downfall. I believe that if maximus would of just agreed to Marcus the wish would have been fulfilled and his family would be alive. When Brutus and maximus die they are both honored. At Brutus's death marc Antony said the was the most noble of them all. At maximus's death they honored him by saying he was a soldier of Rome he died for his country.

In conclusion of this paper it seems that there is comparison to the play and movie. They both contain battle. They deal with corruption betrayal murder and power.
