A detailed Summary of Going to College


As I look back on all my experiences, I have begun to notice how all those little things tie together in preparing me for college. I wouldn't know how to handle myself in college without my academic, extra curricular, and work experiences. Those experiences have helped me grow and mature into the person I am, a person who is fully capable of succeeding in college!

At the beginning of my high school career I didn't understand the importance of good grades. I didn't realize that years later my grades would be a reflection of me. Having friends that were seniors my sophomore year, I saw how hard they worked and how important their good grades were. Now I strive for all A's, it is now something that is important to me! With that experience I am aware that I have to work hard in college and my academics need to come first in order for me to succeed.


school I have been involved in many extra curricular activities. I have been involved in everything from sports, student government, and now I am the student representative on my schools Board of Governors. All of those experiences have taught me more than I can even express. I have learned social skills, organization skills, and I have learned how to work under pressure. Being a part of the Board of Governors I have learned how to be professional while working with others, and I have learned many laws and accounting skills. All those experiences have made me a more intelligent and mature individual, which makes me a person who can handle anything thrown at me in college.

During my high school years I have worked for the recreation department in my town. I have coached track for the past two summers. I coached children from the age of four years old to sixteen years
