This has been a very interesting and unsettling year in the news. It was interesting to read about ways the country had to cope with tragedy. This country has gone through so many changes in the past year. The economy has been in a slum, and the entire world has been suffering from it. We are at a constant and continuous war on terrorism. When the sniper shot the boy from Maryland, the world was in shock. We had been slapped with a sad reality. Could we handle the unsettling events of everyday life? Unsettling, in the way that almost everyday there is a story about who killed who and what country is bombing what.
This current events log is full of stories that will shock, disturb and make you think about the state of the world today. It came across my mind to do current events that would make me think. I could sit and write about what new proposition has been proposed, but that wouldn't be interesting. Boredom pro
It's important to acknowledge at the negativities of life and consider the pain and suffering that goes on throughout the world. When we watch the news, we never sympathize for people who are going through tough times. We hear about someone getting stabbed again and don't take the time to think about what goes on in their lives. When tough times eventually hit ourselves, how will we deal?
The most interesting stories I had written upon were those that made me ask the question: Can I handle life? In Jamaica, a group of gunmen shot at crowds of shoppers, killing five and wounding 15. They had no apparent motives, other than to have a good time. In another story, police had found the burnt body of a priest who had been shot to death and set on fire in his own church.
But the most interesting piece of news I came across was a story about a 6-year-old-boy from Brooklyn. The family had just sat down for Christmas E
