A detailed Summary of The Chosen


Parenting is not a fun and easy thing to do sometimes especially with teenagers. In the book The Chosen by Chaim Potok, Danny's father Reb. Saunders is a very religious Hacidic Jewish man who fails to communicate with his son throughout his childhood. With Danny desperately in search of what to do with his life (to be a rabbi or not), he becomes friends with Reuven, a typical Jewish boy in Brooklyn New York. Reb Saunders was a very clever father and Rebbi.

Mr. Saunders was a very work-based man. He was constantly studying the Talmud and never really had the time or desire to communicate with his son Danny except about religion. Reb Saunders knew that Danny had been read
