1. The whole idea of the story was to get out of the house where Garret was. But they ran into a lot of thing to get by. First they had to find the silver key. But they had to get past ghosts that Garret brought back. It's really just a campfire tale, in the beginning of the story Timothy starts to tell it. The house is also full of traps.
