If you going to talk about ancient Hebrews than you must start with Abraham. Some were near 1800b.c. Tera and his son Abram, who would later be named Abraham, moved to the city of Ur. Abraham marries Sarai, who would later be named Sarah, and declares his belief in one God. This is what starts Judaism. They later move to the land of Canaan.
