Mark Twain aka Samuel Langhorne Clemens 1835 - 1910

Mr. Clemens was born on November 30, 1835 in Florida, Missouri. He moved to Hannibal, Missouri at the age of four were here received a public education. After his father's death, in 1847, Clemens began his carrier as an apprentice to a Hannibal printer. Later, he was a journeyman printer in Keokuk, Iowa, New York City, and Philadelphia. Then his life long dream of becoming a steamboat captain came true, until the Civil War ended his career.
