Family Ties

In the famous story from William Shakespeare, "Hamlet, Prince of Denmark", battles of who is right and who is wrong are fought between people and also in the minds of some of the characters. There are many conflicts that could be written about but the one that really sticks out in my mind is the battle between Hamlet and Claudius. Although they were born into royalty and came from the same bloodline, they were two totally different men who seemed to execute actions in many different ways.

His jealousy showed during his adulthood to the point that he became a sneaky man that would do anything to gain what was not given to him through the family inheritance. He was so into wanting to be in charge, he committed cold-blooded murder to gain the position of king. After he killed King Hamlet, his conscious would not let him repent for what he had done. Although the two characters came from the same royal family, each had their own way of doing things. Trickery, deception, greed, selfishness, and many other human morals were the downfall of these two great characters in this play. One character could not have been what he was in this story without the other character. Shakespeare made an awesome two roles when he came up with Claudius and Hamlet and what each stood for in regards to their family and to Denmark.
