Globalization means the Destruction of World Nations

Globalization is a topic that when it is spoken about can cause some very heated conversations as to its effects. Some believe that globalization is the best way for countries to survive on world markets. Yet still many would say by pushing towards globalization we would be hindering the autonomy of small countries that would be overpowered and controlled. The pros and cons to globalization; many of which are problems we cannot control and/or change. Globalization is responsible for the slow destruction of our world on 3 major levels: First, the economy; Rich nations are showing little sympathy to developing economies by failing to adhere to the WTO Doha Development Agenda that will bring down trade barriers. Secondly, the environment; G8 nations (See Appendix A) are not making a very strong effort to meet with the stipulations of the Kyoto Protocol (See Appendix A) pact made in 1997 in Kyoto, Japan. Lastly, the autonomy of the people of developing countries; they are being left behind in terms of economics and the world market in light of that this should be reason for the UN (See Appendix A) to interfere and offer aid to ensure the safety of humanity everywhere.

The economic unfairness of the agreements and pacts made by dev

In conclusion, globalization has really been a way for developed countries to take advantage of smaller and less developed countries. To be able to do something to stop these things from happening would be a great gain. The statement, "Globalization is responsible for destruction of our world on three major levels." It is a fair statement to make in this case in light of what has happen for the past 20 years of countries being left in the dust and overrun by the "Big Guys" of our economic world. To interfere and cause the developed countries to feel just a little bit of what a developing country feels would be an opportunity of a lifetime. It is fair to say the people of developed countries live a prosperous and carefree life when compared to the life of someone living in a country plagued by disease, war, environmental disasters, and being made to suffer underneath a government of corruption. We should be grateful at all we have and be thankful it has not been taken away from us. People of developed countries in plain words are spoiled. Globalization should not be able to take place having this in mind...

eloped countries make it even harder for the economies of developing countries to compete on world markets. It has been argued that rich developed countries (See Appendix B) should try to bring down their trade barriers to ensure economic fairness towards developing countries' economies. The economies of developing countries (See Appendix B) suffer high tariffs placed by developed countries. Rich developed countries also try to economically dominate entire developing countries through multi-national corporations from developed countries. These developing countries work very hard to try to make a name for their country and to be able to compete on the world market. Reference source from World Bank (See Appendix B) said, developed countries should take action to reduce dramatically their times what rich countries spend on development aid. These subsidies not only hurt poor people in developing countries, they also mean higher taxes and higher for people in rich countries." As a result developed nations are actively trying to keep developing nations poor. This is a way of maintaining the status quo of a particular country. Globalization is giving these nations the privilege to overrun these poor nations. The World Trade Organization (See Appendix B) has been the sole cause for nations to make agreement whether they are fair or not. The WTO is basically a mediator in which these countries make their agreements and pacts. The only problem here is no developed country is pushing to negotiate or create business with any prospective developing country. Also, by encouraging investment and job creation requires excellent economic governance. This means measures to combat corruption, better-functioning bureaucracies and better regulation, contract enforcement, and protection of property rights. Developing countries must first take on their own proble
