Revelations
I. General Information About RevelationsVI. .......................................................................What Happens After the Seven Year Tribulation Revelations is the last book of the bible, it outlines Gods final plan for mankind. The word revelation comes from the Greek work "apokalupsis" which means the uncovering, the unveiling, or the disclosing (Revelations page 13). God gave the message of revelations to his son Jesus Christ. He wanted Jesus to pass it on to his servants, so Jesus passed it to an angel, the angel gave it to John and John gave it to the church (Revelation 1:1). Quotation from a newspaper article. The word rapture is not in the English translation of the bible. It is however found in Latin translations of the bible. It appears as the word "rapere" which means to be caught up, plucked up or taken by force. When this event happens all living and dead Christians will be snatched up to be with Christ. Discovered at least five biblical facts about the manner of Christ's second coming. The event will occur suddenly, when it is least expected by the world in general. It will involve the personal, physical return of Christ Himself. When Jesus ascended into heaven, He informed His disciples, through His attending angels that He would return again "as.... [They] saw him go into heaven" (Acts 1:11). They saw him physically, literally ascend. The second coming will also be visible, that "Every eye shall see him" (Rev. 1:7). Christ declared that the second coming would be so visible that it could best be described by comparing it to a flash of lightning (Matthew 24:27). It will also be personal, Christ will personally return for His people. The dead on Christ will be first to rise and together with the living saints will be caught up to meet Him in the air ( Thessalonians 4:16, 17). It will be a glorious and triumphant event, Christ comes for His saints. He comes with His retinue of angels: "When the Son of man comes in his glory, all the angels with him, then he will sit in his glorious throne" (Matthew 25:31). After the rapture of the true Christians, the people left on earth will believe a well conceived lie. This lie will "explaine away" the truth of the rapture, and many will believe it. The lie could be anything from aliens to forces of nature. Any appendices should appear after the text of your term paper.
