A detailed Summary of Romeo and Juliet
In the play "Romeo & Juliet" by William Shakespeare, both Romeo and Juliet acted very similar. In the beginning, Romeo and Juliet were seeing other people and did not even hear of each other. During the course of the play, they both did similar things in comparable situations. When the play was going to end, they both decided to commit suicide for one another. As the play goes on, the development of Romeo and Juliet are similar.
Firstly, both Romeo and Juliet are similar because at the start, when Romeo thought he was in love with a girl named Rosaline, Juliet was close to marrying Paris. They both did not know each other and Shakespeare might have done this on purpose. Shakespeare wanted to show the different background they came from and the resemblance that they possess. Furthermore, the actions of Romeo and Juliet are very similar as they both met one another at the ball. Once they laid eyes on each other, they instantly fell in love with each other. After the ball, all they thought about was each other, and it seemed as though that was the only thing they thought about. When Romeo killed Tybalt for killing Mercutio, they both still loved each other more than ever as Juliet stated "Hath slain ten thousand Tybalts"3, iii, 114. Their levels of maturity both increased as they both realized their independence to the world and their dependence towards each other. Even when they are both at their lowest points, they still acted very similar.
Finally, at the ending of the play when they had a tough decision to make, both of them made the same decision. Juliet was trying to gain her independence
