Love, hatred, and revenge all play a part of this play's love triangle. These three reasons

all led up to the cause of the tense relationship of John Proctor, Elizabeth Proctor, and Abigail

Williams. The three characters had dense relationships with each other. John is married too

Elizabeth who commits adultery with Abigail. Abigail was working for the Proctor's until

Elizabeth discovers the relationship and fires Abigail.

John is the good man in town. Father of three young boys and husband to the most

honest women in town. John realizes his love for Elizabeth after Abigail charges her of
