There are many theories about what happened to the USS Maine in Havana, Cuba on the night of February 15, 1898. Two of the most logical theories, although many could be argued and persuasive, are that right wing radicals blew up the massive ship, or that it the Spanish who wanted Cuba. Both of these two types of people were capable of such devastation, if they are analyzed enough.

The first theory was that it was the right wing radicals who wanted to get rid of the Americans. Their motivation behind an attack like this is that they favored Spanish rule in Cuba, and hated Ameri
