Grandmother Follette won the custody of the children, and they had to go and live with her in Columbus, Ohio. At the grandmother's house, the children still experienced discipline, but it wasn't as severe as before. The types of punishment that the grandmother would give are time outs, being grounded, or standing in the middle of the room on one foot. One day, January 21, two of the children, an 11-year-old boy and his 12-year-old sister, had devised an appalling machination to kill their grandmother and their younger siblings. Their plan was to set the house on fire and kill the grandmother and their siblin
gs in the process. The corrupt children thought that when they set the house on fire it would burn slowly, and they would be able to stab the others with knifes. Things did not go the way that they wanted them to. The house burned rapidly, and one of their siblings woke up in time and warned the house of the fire, and they escaped safely. The evidence showed that the arsenal was accidental, but the little girl made a confession of the plot while they were eating breakfast at a restaurant. The same principles and ideas can be linked to Mary Shelly's Frankenstein. The monster was created and then abandoned by his creator. There was no one to teach him about the value of life and the essential knowledge that is needed. Neglect and parental abandonment are two dominant sources of abuse. Victor is guilty of both of these wrong doings.
