The world revolves around money and the economy is the main guideline to distribute and gain money around the world. The United States has a leading role in this economy because it is simply the largest and the most wealthiest country in the world. Canada is the leading export country to our neighbours. The events of September eleventh two thousand and one, have crippled this great nation's economy and therefore has also crippled Canada because most of our exports are to the U.S. After the terrorist attacks, the borders between the U.S. and Canada have been tightened, the airline and tourist industries have slowed down, and people are afraid of recession. These economic events are the main reasons that have affected the Canadian economy. The terrorist attacks have made the U.S. place more restrictions on their borders. The result of these actions have the Canadian economy in a streaming worry. " (1) Delays at the border are costing us tens of millions of dollars."
