Heinz Ruhe brought the Pygmy Goat to the United States in 1959. Before you trim your goats hooves you want to look at a picture of it being done, this way you no what you are doing. The sole of each toe is surrounded by a little wall. This is sometimes called "hoof wall" it is what tends to overgrow. You want to trim this wall down until it is level to the sole of the hairline.
