Men vs. Women
There have always been striking differences between men and women. Dave Barry's, Batting Clean-Up and Striking Out, is an effective process analysis which explains some of the differences between men and women. Dave Barry effectively illustrates how women are more sensitive to filth than men, and how men are more sensitive to sports than women are. Barry further explains this statement through various examples and personal experiences. Barry states that the "primary difference between men and women is that women can see extremely small quantities of dirt." He expanded by saying that women see "dirt at the level of molecules, whereas men don't generally notice it until it forms clumps large enough to support agriculture." I found this statement very convincing because my mom asked my dad to sweep the kitchen floor one day because it was dirty. After much pouting and protesting, me dad finally swept the floor. Dave Barry effectively explained the two major differences of men and women in, Batting Clean-Up and Striking Out. He successfully proved his point by stating examples as well as revealing personal experiences. The two major differences between men and women are obviously filth and sports. Men are no in tuned with women's sensitiveness towards filth and women are not equipped with men's knowledge and love for sports. Instead of creating a dispute over filth and sports people should learn to work around it and compromise. Instead of my dad grunting and moaning over having to sweep the floor he should have taken the extra time to please my mom. When my dad watches football games the girls in my family have learned to just let him be. In order to satisfy my mom however, he would have to go to the mall with her as soon as the game was over. Barry and his friends even found that middle ground by taking the kids and cleaning off the dessert tray. By this gesture Barry and his friends were able to watch the game in the silence that they needed. Compromising is the key to happiness in a relationship. Instead of using these sex differences against the other person one should learn how to live with them and find that middle ground. oo busy I guess I will sweep the floor." My father knew better than to argue and tell my mom that he had already swept the floor, so he just kept his mouth shut while secre
