Red Cross Australia

The Red Cross Australia is a non-profit charity organisation which is a part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. It is transnational, yet is independent as it deals with Australian problems or Australians in crisis, the organisation produces and supplies aid to families and communities who have experienced trauma through drought, flood, fire and famine.

There are not any major markets that are targeted as it is a volunteer organisation, and its customers are those people and families and communities most in need, yet they do not pay for any of these services. The Red Cross relies upon donations, from the wide community, particularly from Red Cross Calling which is held in March every year, where thousands of volunteers donate their time door-knocking for donations. In 2001 they raised in excess of 7 million dollars.

The Red Cross Australia has no competitors, as other organisations in the same "business" are seeking the same goal of aiding thousands of people in need, there is no prize at the end of this because as these organisations are seeking the same goal, they have no competition with each other.
