A detailed Summary of Note taking


· I walked into the nursery at church at 10:50, and I put my belongings on the table.

· Three toddlers, an infant, and the regular nursery worker (Bonnie) were already present.

· At 10:55, I left the room to go to the restroom, and I returned at 11:00.

· At 11:00, Bonnie was changing the infant's diaper. At the same time, two of the toddlers were playing together in the floor. One of the toddlers was rolling around on the floor.

· At 11:10, Bonnie gets out the juice and animal crackers. She then tells the three children to sit at the table for snack time. While the children are sitting down, she gets out the infant's bottle for him and puts him in the baby bed where he is supposed to eat and go to sleep.


· The children are very excited to see that their moms and dads have come to pick them up.

· The nursery has fewer children than normal.

· The little girl does something, and Bonnie calls her a "stinker". One of the little boys tells Bonnie that the girl is not a "stinker", and Bonnie tells him that she is.

· At 11:45, the parents start arriving to pick up their children.

· Bonnie seems to talk negatively toward the children when instructing them.
