A Cry for Canabis
A detailed Summary of A Cry for Canabis
For thousands of years, marijuana has been utilized for its medicinal purposes. Up until 1937, when it was declared illegal, marijuana was a frequent ingredient in more than 27 pharmaceutical drugs. The question of whether or not it should be legalised has been an immense subject of debate over the past three decades. There are many reasons for which I believe it should be legalised. For example, marijuana has been proven beneficial in the treatment of many of today's most life threatening diseases, also if legalised the government is now in the 'driver's seat' and can control this so called harmful substance. Therefore marijuana should be legalised for a vast number of medicinal and social reasons. Allow me to elucidate.
The debate over the legalisation of marijuana to the general public has room for more thought, however there should be no questions asked regarding the legalisation of marijuana for its medicinal purposes. Young, stated and I quote; 'Marijuana, in its natural form, is one of the safest therapeutically active substances....' No one has ever died from an ove

From the governments point of view I think the legalisation of marijuana to the general public would probably be in society's best interest. If marijuana were to become a legal substance, first of all the price would fall. Now that the price has fallen, drug dealers are put out of business. As aforementioned the government is now in the drivers seat and can regulate all transactions of marijuana. The government can now control the type and amount of marijuana brought into the country. Where we stand right now, cannabis sativa must be purchased illegally, and those who sell it have no respect for age. If legalised, criminal dealers would be out of business and an age restriction could be placed on marijuana. This eliminates the use of marijuana by minors and rids our communities of drug dealers.
Through my aforementioned works it is apparent that marijuana should be legalised for a vast number of medicinal and social reasons. Marijuana is not a devious creation of some chthonic divinity in his diabolical plot to lead the earth into a state of dilapidation; it is simply a completely organic substance that comes from the Lords' good earth to assist the ailment of di
