In the novel "To Kill a Mocking Bird" written by Harper Lee there are many strong characters. Atticus Finch, a man of strong principles is a perfect example for a masterpiece of a man as being a great father, lawyer and a human being.

Firstly, Atticus is a good father as he is not strict and he allows his children to learn what is wrong and what is right on their own while guiding them in some situations through his opinions. Moreover, he reads to Scout every night and encourage her to read whatever he reads: Atticus speaks "If you"ll concede the necessity of going to school, we will go on reading every night just as we always have". This tells us that he care about his children"s education. Furthermore, he loves his children very much. Also, the judge appoints Atticus Finch to defend Tom Robinson a black man, who is accused of rape, because he believes that Atticus is a capable and good person who can defend Tom with equality and right judgment. Furthermore, Atticus is a respectful lawyer. He addresses everyone with respect no matter who they are and what they did to him.
