Seeking Freedom: America's Downfall

What has happened to the morals and values that America once held? American society has been falling in a constant downward spiral for decades and the children will have to pay for this. Americans are so concerned with what they call "freedom" and they want to be free to say and do whatever they want whenever they want so basically they are for the most part selfish and this has contributed to the downward spiral.

Murderers and violent criminals are getting off for what they have done for technicalities. Hundereds of children have died while under the "protection" of Social Services. There is more violence, sex, and bad language on TV, movies, and video games than ever before. Gangs are thriving, kids are getting involved in all kinds of criminal activities, and more kids than ever before are promiscuous. Most kids have been threatened, bullied, or harrassed while at school and we all know that many kids have been murdered at school during school shooting, the most recent being a 1st grader murdered by another 1st grader. If this isn't a wake up call, then nothing is.

In the "old days" people would leave their doors unlocked with no problems but today there are actually metal detectors and security guards in many schools. In the "old days" children who misbehaved were paddled for punishment but today teachers are getting beatings by the students. Prayer has been taken out of school and now battles are taking place in court regarding posting The Ten Commandments in schools. Something outrageous that has happened is a kindergarten boy brought a book that had Bible stories for Children in it to share with the class. All of the other children got to share their books, but the teacher would not let this little boy share his because it dealt with Christianity. The more Christianity is forced out of American youths lives, the more problems will occur. This does not imply Christianity is the answer to our problems nor is it trying to convert anyone.
