Biography of Thomas Hardy

             Thomas Hardy, a 19th century poet uses the concept of true love and romance to describe the realities of life, as seen in his poem She, to Him III?. Because of his concept of writing he can be given the title as one of England's greatest poets. He was a man of both great dignity and character. He lives his life to the fullest and takes control of ever opportunity possible. Even though he lives a more wealthy life then others he works hard at everything he possibly could. Because of his hard work and constant persistence it made him an amazing writer. Because of his hard work many other poets and writers thought of him as a role model and a very influential person in their careers as writers.

             Thomas Hardy's childhood is a great example of a child who takes advantage of his educational opportunities. Thomas Hardy was born in Higher Bockhampton June 2, 1840. Jemima and Thomas Hardy are his parents. Thomas's father was a stonemason while his mother stayed home and raised his brothers and sisters. In 1848 Thomas would receive his first education at the school of Julia Martin. Soon later Thomas would enhance his studies with Latin and French. Soon later, Thomas travels to London to work under Arthur Blomfield.              In 1865 Hardy publishes his first article How I Built Myself a House.? Two years later Thomas considers writing professionally and writes an unpublished novel: The Poor Men and Lady. Soon Later, Hardy travels to St. Juliot to work on the restoration of the church and here he meets Emma Lavinia Gifford.
