             The number one reason why "the right to bear arms" needs to be protected, is to keep .

             the law was better for the country. But as in reaction, history has told us what had followed. .

             Taking away peoples abilities to defend themselves is the easiest way to subjugate, enslave, or .

             eradicate them. Some states have enacted their own laws. Florida has aloud its citizens to carry .

             a concealed weapon. Since this law was enacted the murder rate has dropped 29%. Over the .

             same period of time the nationwide murder rate increased by 11%. This clearly shows that guns .

             in the hands of law-abiding citizens can prevent crime. In contrast many of our country's major .

             cities have banned all guns. In 1976 guns were banned in Washington D.C. Since then the .

             murrder rate has risen 200%. According to a poll on an internet site, 64% of Americans .

             rightfully understand and don't believe gin control laws reduce crime. History has proven that .
